The Dhanmondi Sporting Club (DSC) established in the year 1980 by Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman with some veteran sportsmen of Dhanmondi, targeting to promote sports of all disciplines. Since inception, the DSC is organizing local and international tournaments with the support of the government and corporates.

Founded with the vision of creating opportunities for aspiring athletes, DSC has become a hub for sporting talent and enthusiasts in Dhanmondi and beyond.

At DSC, we believe sports are more than just games-they are a way to build character, discipline, and unity. Our club offers a platform for young talents to train, compete, and grow, while also encouraging community participation through regular tournaments, training sessions, and recreational activities.

From cricket and football to indoor games and fitness programs, DSC embraces a wide range of sports to cater to diverse interests. Our mission is to nurture athletes who can proudly represent our community at local, national, and international levels, while also creating a vibrant sporting culture that inspires all ages.

The President

Eminent sports organizer, veteran freedom fighter and former Senior Secretary of the government KMH Nazrul Islam has been elected President for a tenure of four years from August 2025 till July 2028.
